To the Motherland...

I'm taking a journey with my good friend, Sameer Sampat, to India. What exactly this journey is going to entail... your guess is as good as mine. Our inner voices will be our guide. (along with our handy-dandy Lonely Planet)

Both of you be careful in your journey from here on out. Now it seems like before October, comes the bulk of your traveling. Sounds like amazing experiences you guys are going through, and I know that it will get better as you get more accustomed to your surroundings..

All the best -
Choks

Hi Buddy
Good planning.Explore as much as you can . Don't be in rush moving around , give ample of time to see and do what you guys want to do. I didn't see Rushicase and Nainital in the list of places you guys going to visit. Both these places are worth to see and you guys are not far from there . So if you can include these in your list of places. Have a best travelling and be careful. Have Fun.

Hi! Brother!
Good luck ,now u r entering the most beautiful place in India:the Himalayas only one advice , get accustomed to the weather for a couple of days at high altitudes and then go rough! There are a lot of hidden spots not known to the tourist, contact the local people, talk to them and learn from them the places in the mountains rather than going to a formal tourist guide, otherwise places like manali are so commercialised that you won't like the town, u have to go up in the mountains to see the beauty. There is a guy called Mr. Lavkumar Khachar...an ex-army personnel owns a small hotet at Vashistha kund...meet him for treks if u r interested. Hotel Bhrigu at Vashistha has excellent food and you'll love the restaurant, very economic rates (the restaurant and not the hotel)
All the best.Priti
